Facilities Operations Update

April 14: Lane shift on northbound Kingshighway starts

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Landscaping and curb work along the new BJH Plaza West Tower, which closed the easternmost lane of northbound Kingshighway for six weeks, will wrap up early next week. Work will immediately shift to the median, where a pedestrian crosswalk safety zone is being constructed, as well as other work.

The westernmost lane of northbound Kingshighway will close. In addition, southbound Kingshighway will be affected. Contractors will close the left turn lane from southbound Kingshighway to Barnes-Jewish Plaza. Left turns will be allowed from the through lane (see illustration).
As with the previous work, two lanes of northbound Kingshighway will remain open, and two lanes southbound will also remain open. As weather permits, this work is expected to extend into May.

This is the final Campus Renewal-related work along Kingshighway. Once the section of work is completed, all three northbound lanes and all southbound lanes will be open.
