September 9: MoDOT to Break Ground on Route 100 Project in St. Louis City

Sent on behalf of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

The Missouri Department of Transportation will join with federal, state and local officials to celebrate the start of a safety and resurfacing project on Route 100 (Chouteau/Manchester) in the city of St. Louis.

The groundbreaking is set for Tuesday, September 9, at 9 a.m. on Chouteau between 9th Street and 10th Street. Attendees can park along Chouteau between 10th Street and 11th Street.

Although the project predominantly makes safety improvements along the corridor and resurfaces the roadway, it is also the first MoDOT project that includes protected bike lanes on a state-maintained route. This lane connects to existing cycle tracks established by the City of St. Louis on roads they maintain.
