After months of work and some necessary disruptions, construction is nearing completion on new spaces for the outpatient pharmacy and admitting in the former Eye Center space on the second floor.
- October 27 – Outpatient Pharmacy Go-live: The relocation of the pharmacy to the second floor will enable families to conveniently visit the outpatient pharmacy on the same floor as the bridge to the visitor garage. The new location will feature three pick-up windows. • November 10 – Admitting Department Go-live: Relocating from the first to the second floor will improve department visibility and patient flow. The second floor serves as the formal entrance to the hospital. It will enable more than 100 patients per day to be registered and guided to their ultimate destination in a more streamlined fashion. The new admitting space will have three check-in desks and one check-in kiosk.
These moves are a precursor to renovations to the emergency department slated to begin late this year. More information about ED renovations, timeline and impact will be shared soon.
