October 25 – Spring 2026: Core Projects

The project to renovate the Core @718 and Core@818 buildings has begun.

This project includes exterior renewal work such as parking lot resurfacing, masonry repairs, replacement of northwest entrance stairs and north entry ramp retaining wall coping, painting and sealing of window lintels, installation of area well access ladders, and roof safety upgrades. Interior improvements include replacing Murphy beds with standard furniture that adds storage and desk space, upgrading the fire alarm system, adding stairwell cooling, installing new water softeners, and cleaning apartment condensing units.

This project includes exterior renewal work such as parking lot sealing and restriping, masonry repairs, chimney and cap repair, and painting of window lintels and fascia. Interior improvements include painting the fitness center, upgrading furniture by replacing Murphy beds with standard beds that include storage and desk space, adding cooling to stairwells, installing new water softeners and circuit setters, cleaning apartment condensing units, and upgrading the fire alarm system.
Estimated Schedule

  • October 2025: Construction begins, Condensing unit cleaning complete
  • November 2025: Furniture installation complete
  • February 2026: Masonry and exterior renewal complete
  • Spring 2026: Parking lot renewal and fire alarm upgrades complete
  • May 2025: Work complete
