Starting at 10 p.m. on January 22, the patient transport, food service, and three of four service elevators in Plaza West Tower will be turned off during an upgrade that will enable them to operate in the unlikely case of a power loss and emergency generator failures.
The work is expected to be completed within four hours, with the elevator reopening by 2 a.m. on January 23. One service elevator and the visitor elevators will remain in service.
While elevator volume is low during these hours, patient and supplies transport should take place in the Rand Johnson or West Pavilion elevators during this four-hour period. Team members can use the visitor elevators.
