2/2-4/13: The Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration – BJC Institute of Health (BJCIH) Front Entrance Vestibule and Sidewalk Closure, Pending Weather

As part of the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration, the construction team will perform plumbing, roofing, and finish upgrades to the BJCIH front entrance vestibule. In addition, the sidewalk leading to the front entrance will be replaced as part of the overall Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration. Due to the disruption both pieces of work have on the front entrance, we will perform them at the same time, in a single phase.

The plan is to close the BJCIH front entrance sidewalk and vestibule, perform the work concurrently, redirect pedestrian foot traffic around the closure, and coordinate building access/egress with the closure.

The BJCIH Front Entrance will be closed from 6 a.m. on February 2 through 6 a.m. on April 13.

Once closed, pedestrian traffic at ground level through the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza to the BJCIH front entrance will need to re-route through a building (FLTC, MCC, MPRB) to the 2nd-floor Link and into BJCIH.

Please expect this change in pedestrian walkway routing when you arrive on campus on February 2.

If your work on campus takes you in or around the BJC IOH building and the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza, please anticipate shutdowns, disruptions, and inconveniences associated with this project’s construction.

Your patience and cooperation while we work to restore the plaza is sincerely appreciated.
