8/12: Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration – Mid Campus Center (MCC) Front Entrance Disruption

Starting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and continuing through September 4, 2026, weather permitting, the Phase 5B portion of the plaza at the MCC front entrance will be under construction. Work will be performed in and around the MCC Front Entrance and Metro Link platform. Please see the phasing drawing below.

Please note and make arrangements to enter MCC from either the north side steps or the link, as the main front entrance and ADA ramp will be closed due to construction.

For ADA access into MCC, please use the Metro Garage Elevators or the (BJCIH) Elevators.

Once Phase 5B is completed on September 4th, we will move to Phase 5C at the Metrolink platform entrance, and after that to Phase 6B, continuing work at the main entrance of the Eric P. Neumann Education Center (EPNEC).

Please expect continued noise, disruption and congestion at the MCC circle through September, in support of the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration.

(Please Note – Primarily due to the weather and unforeseen changes in the field, phases and dates are approximate. This indicates that the construction team anticipates possibly needing to move areas of work and phase dates, both earlier and later, to adjust to progress on the project.)

If your work on campus takes you in or around the BJCIH building and Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza, please anticipate shutdowns, disruptions and inconveniences associated with the construction of this project.

Your patience and cooperation while we work to restore the plaza is sincerely appreciated.
