From 10 pm to midnight on 9/24, the MCC will be taken offline for scheduled network modernization.
The outage will impact nearly all devices and systems connected to the Emergency Communications Center network. To ensure the safety and security of all persons, the following steps will be taken:
- Calls will automatically route to the red backup emergency phones.
- Parking intercoms will not be available during this time. Parking gates will remain raised throughout the outage. Protective Services will make extra rounds during this time.
- Remote access will not be available for doors during the outage. Please contact Protective Services for any space access needs.
- Dispatch will utilize cell phones, rather than radios, during this time. Radios will not be operable.
- Service Calls will be documented on paper and entered into CAD manually once the systems are fully operational.
- Should an emergency occur, there are contingencies in place to support emergency notifications.
- The control room will be notifying the ECC of all fire alarm activations.
