December 11 – February 9: The Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza Restoration: Sidewalk Shutdown, Clinical Sciences Research Building North Tower Addition (CSRB NTA)/McDonnell Science Research Building (MPRB) Sidewalk Closure

After further coordination on sidewalk replacement closures with building access and egress, we will proceed with the remaining Phase 2 Sidewalk Shutdown at the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza.

The plan is to close the sidewalk from Wohl Circle to the east end of the MPRB, remove and replace the sidewalk paving, redirect pedestrian foot traffic around the closure, and coordinate building access/egress with the closure.

The CSRB NTA/MPRB sidewalk area from Wohl Circle to the east end of the MPRB is planned to be closed from 6 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025, through 6 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2026.

Once closed, all pedestrian traffic through Hope Plaza to the west (St. Louis Children’s Hospital, CSRB, Wohl Hospital and Wohl Clinic) will need to re-route through a building (MPRB, BJCIH, Mid Campus Center) to the 2nd-floor Link.

Please expect this change in pedestrian walkway routing when you arrive on campus on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

If your work on campus takes you in or around the BJC IOH building and the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza, please anticipate shutdowns, disruptions, and inconveniences associated with this project’s construction.

Your patience and cooperation while we work to restore the plaza is sincerely appreciated.
