Facilities Operations Update

Sidewalk changes on Barnes-Jewish Plaza starting the week of January 16th

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital

On January 16, the crosswalk connecting the street-level hospital entrance on Barnes-Jewish Plaza to the Plaza garage will reopen. In addition, the sidewalk in Hudlin Park between the garage entrance and Euclid Avenue will reopen.

The sidewalk along the East Pavilion construction area will close so contractors can continue to set steel columns for a new canopy and entry vestibule. This closure will take place later that week to give pedestrians time to adjust to the changes (see diagram). Signage will be in place to redirect pedestrians.
Construction of the Metro bus stop along Barnes-Jewish Plaza also will be completed, but the buses will continue to use the Euclid Ave. stop (just south of Barnes-Jewish Plaza) to minimize congestion during Campus Renewal Construction. The new stop will open some time in 2025.

Winter weather may delay the completion date, and any changes will be communicated in advance.
