Facilities Operations Update

Reminder – Overnight utility work in Barnes-Jewish Plaza starts July 5th

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

On July 5, contractors began extensive water utility work in Barnes-Jewish Plaza, west of the pedestrian bridge, with partial overnight street closures for four weeks as outlined below. The nightly work will begin at 8 pm and conclude by 4 am each morning. Contractors expect the work to continue into early August. See map for location.

For the first two weeks, overnight work will require all westbound lanes of Barnes-Jewish Plaza to close. One eastbound lane will remain open. Detour signs and traffic control personnel will direct drivers exiting the garage onto Barnes-Jewish Plaza to Euclid Ave., Clayton Ave., Hospital Drive to Kingshighway.

For the second two weeks, overnight work will allow for one westbound and one eastbound lane of Barnes-Jewish Plaza to remain open.

During daytime hours, all lanes of Barnes-Jewish Plaza will be open, with metal plates over work trenches.
