Between February 26th 9 pm – March 8th 6 am contractors will be installing a new platform in the supply air unit (AHU-1) that serves the laboratories on the west side of the building including all the BSL3 labs. The work is expected to take two weeks and will be completed on an overnight schedule. The outage will begin each evening at 9:00 pm and finish the following morning at 6:00 am.
The overnight outages will impact building systems and operations as follows:
- There will be reduced exhaust airflow to all the non-BSL3 laboratories in the building. No work should occur in fume hoods during the work periods listed above.
- The supply air to the labs on the western side of the building including all the BSL3 labs will be off. Supply air and space temperature for these areas will be affected.
- The exhaust airflow to all of the BSL3 lab suites will remain operational during the overnight outages.
- No work may occur in the BSL3 labs during these overnight outages.
