Facilities Operations Update

Crane on South Euclid near West Building for Central Plant work on Saturday, July 27

The final crane lift for the Euclid Power Plant (EPP) is scheduled for Saturday, July 27. We are installing a new DA tank into the EPP. The crane will be placed in the same location as when we removed the deareator. At approximately 4:30 am, the crane company will start setting up the crane. The new tank will be brought in by truck, and the crane will offload it and then set it into the room in the EPP. This should be completed by around 3:30 pm. Then, they will begin breaking down the crane and removing it. They should be out by 4:00 pm.
The map shows pedestrian traffic rerouting in the link around the area where we will be using the crane. Tarlton Construction will have signs and flagging personnel in the link to assist people around the closure. We realize this isn’t the most convenient way, but it is the safest due to the nature of the work.
