Workers began the replacement of the East Building’s roof on September 9th. The roof replacement project will require a series of mobile crane picks. Each crane pick will occur from the service drive on the north elevation to avoid the continual vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Scott Avenue.
The project’s construction hours are 6:30 am – 3 pm for demolition and 7 am – 5 pm for the roof replacement work starting on October 1st. The roof replacement is scheduled for October 1st – November 4th. Below are the scheduled dates and the estimated length each crane pick should take. Business managers should share this information with their vendors to assist with planning their pickups and deliveries for the scheduled dates. Please be aware that all dates are subject to change due to inclement weather.
Crane pick dates (please see the lift plan):
- 9/16 – AALCO Wrecking Co. – demo completion date (10hrs)
- 10/1 – Taylor Roofing Co. – Hoist equipment and roofing materials onto the roof to begin roof replacement (8hrs)
