On Saturday, September 13, Taylor Roofing will set up a crane on the west side of McKinley Avenue between S. Euclid Avenue and the McDonnell Medical Sciences Building south entrance for the purpose of replacing the South Building roof. Construction is scheduled for September 15 through November 5, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The crane will remain for the duration of the project.
The lift work will completely shut down the west side of McKinley to vehicular traffic. There will not be any available parking on either side of McKinley Ave., between the McDonnell Medical Sciences Building and S. Euclid Ave.
The north sidewalk between the McDonnell Medical Science Building’s south entrance and S. Euclid Ave, and a portion of the south sidewalk between the barrier, will be closed to pedestrian traffic due to overhead lifting and potential falling hazards. The South Building entrance on McKinley will be closed. The entrance/exit to Core @ 718 will remain open.
