On Thursday, November 6th, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Contractors will be replacing the water heater that serves the first floor. No hot water will be available at the restroom sinks on the first floor.

Facilities is working to address a mechanical failure that has occurred with the fume hoods located on the north end of the 6th floor. The fume hoods will be down, and no work should be performed in them during the above noted times.

At approximately 4:00 a.m., an Ameren UE power blip affected the building’s electrical system. At this time, Facilities Engineering is recovering the electrical systems, and we ask that “No Work” be carried out in the labs. A follow-up message will be sent once all electrical systems are functioning as usual.

On Sunday, November 16, 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., facilities, along with contractors, will be conducting a test of the duct detectors in the air handling system. There shall be no alarms present during this test.

Elevator 102 will be out of service on Sunday, November 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for preventive maintenance. It will be back in service at noon.

On Saturday, November 15, 7-11 a.m., facilities and contractors will conduct an electrical outage affecting lighting and receptacles on floors 5 through 12. Although power will be available for the other floors, the HVAC will be down during the outage.

On Saturday, November 8, from 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., to facilitate repairs to the heating system, the domestic water will be shut down for piping modifications. During this time, the DCM cage wash facility will be without domestic cold water.

On Thursday, October 23, from 6 to 10 p.m., Air Handler 9 will be shut down to assist the contractor with rebalancing the fan. From Saturday, November 22, 7:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 23, 8:00 a.m., all exhaust systems for the building will be shut down to assist the contractor. From Tuesday, October 21, at 6:00 p.m. to Wednesday, October 22, at 1:00 a.m., Air Handler 9 will be shut down for necessary repairs. There will be no cooling, heating, or air flow in the office areas on the 9th floor. Lab spaces will not be affected. Thank you for your patience.
