On Monday, October 13th, 7-9 am, facilities will conduct a total power loss test of SIR-W. This test is necessary to determine if the building will stand alone in the event of a major power outage.

On Wednesday, October 15th, 4-6 am, facilities will be conducting a total power loss test of East McDonnell. This test is necessary to determine if the building will stand alone in the event of a major power outage.

Friday, October 10, 5 p.m. – Monday, October 13, 5 a.m., Facilities will be shutting down the high-pressure steam to make necessary repairs to the steam line. The steam to the cage washers will not be available during the above-noted dates and times.

On Friday, October 29, 4-6 a.m., facilities, along with contractors, will be installing a module to the electrical switchgear. We do not anticipate any power loss or interruption. This is just a courtesy notice.

On Wednesday, October 15, 5-7 am, facilities along with contractors will be conducting a test of the fire alarm system; there will be audible and strobing soundswitnessed during this test. There will be no need for evacuation.

On Sunday, October 26th, 5 am – 4 pm, facilities along with contractors will be conducting a test test of the duct detectors in the air handling system.

Elevator #86 will be intermittently out of service to allow the replacement of its associated fire alarm devices. Once the work is completed and tested, the elevator will be returned to service.

Between October 10, 3 p.m. and October 13, 7 a.m. Facilities will be assisting contractors in shutting down the exhaust system that serves fume hoods 402, 404, and 406 to install ductwork modifications. During the specified dates and times, no work in the fume hoods will be allowed.
