On Thursday, July 24th 6-8 am the Air Handling Unit (AHU-2) serving the BSL3 Lab 562 will be shut down for fire alarm upgrades. As a precaution, NO work may be performed in the lab during this time.

Access to the Lower Level from elevator #14 will be restricted between 6:30 am and Noon, to allow contractors to repair the floor in the Lower Level elevator lobby.

Elevator #109 is out of service for repairs and will remain so until further notice. Parts are on order, and the elevator will be returned to service as soon as the repairs are made. New ropes were ordered. Repair work is scheduled from September 8th to 16th.

Elevator #64 is out of service for repairs until further notice. The repair part is on order. Once the repairs are made, the elevator will be returned to service.

Facilities and contractors will be working on upgrades to the air handling unit system for the vertical expansion. During this time, no work will be allowed in the fume hoods. Lab staff and occupants may also notice warmer-than-normal temperatures.

Elevator #8 will be shut down to replace the brake assembly. Once the work is complete, the elevator will be returned to service.

Facilities and contractors will be working on upgrades to the exhaust system for the vertical expansion. During this time, no work will be allowed in the fume hoods. Lab staff and occupants may also notice warmer-than-normal temperatures.

Elevators in the listed buildings will be out of service, one at a time, for approximately 2 to 4 hours between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM from July 14 to July 18 to conduct annual inspections and fire recall tests as required by the Elevator Safety Unit of the Missouri Department of Public Safety. During the above-mentioned date and times, CO2 and lab vacuum will be shut down on the 9th floor only. Any vacuum or CO2 utilized in incubators, fume hoods, or lab benches on the 9th floor will be affected and unavailable. This utility disruption is to support construction on the east end of the 9th floor.

DI Water will be shut off and isolated during the above-mentioned date and times serving the 9th floor only. This will affect any lab sinks and Millipore machines that supply DI Water to the lab spaces.
