Monday, July 10th 9-9:30 am the access control programming for the McMillan 1103 BSL3 suite will be updated during the outage. No work may occur in the 1103 BSL3 suite during this outage.

On Wednesday, July 19th 5-7 am Facilities will be conducting inspections on the air handling system that serves the north side of floors 4 and 5 including BSL3 lab 562. During this time NO work shall be conducting in the BSL3 562 lab.

On Friday, July 7th 6-7 am Facilities will perform repairs on the emergency eyewash and shower system on the 7th floor. During this time supply water to the emergency systems will be unavailable.

On Saturday, July 22nd from 5 am to 2 pm there will be no gas to the 4444 Forrest Park Building to replace seismic valves for the buildings gas meter. In these times there will be no gas to Bunsen burners, heating hot water, and domestic hot water.

On Friday, July 14th from 4 am to 7 am there will be no gas to the South Medical Building and the Cancer Research Building to replace seismic valves for the buildings gas meters. In these times there will be no gas to Bunsen burners and any other equipment supplied gas.

As part of the renovation project on the 6th and 7th floors of Renard Hospital On Monday, July 24th 7-11 am Contractors/Facilities will be testing the Audio/Visuals for the fire alarm system in Renard. On Saturday, July 15th 4 am – 12 om Facilities/ Contractors will be installing a redundant backflow preventer on the domestic water main at the above time. During this time there will be no sinks, toilets, or water fountains, anything that uses domestic water.

On Saturday, July 22nd 6 am – 4 pm Facilities will be draining the heating hot water system for the entire building. No heating hot water will be available during the above-noted date and times. The entire building may notice cooler-than-normal temperatures. Facilities will be on-site to monitor and make changes for cooler areas.

On Saturday, July 15th 6 am – 4 pm Facilities will be turning off the steam that feeds the entire building. No steam will be available at glass wash stations, sterilizers, humidifiers, and heat exchangers. The building may see cooler-than-normal temperatures during the above-noted dates and times. Facilities will be monitoring temperatures during this outage.

A control component on the supply air valve serving the 426/443 ABSL3 suite needs to be troubleshot. No work may occur in the 426/443 ABSL3 suite during this outage.
