On Tuesday, July 16th 5-8 am in preparation for upcoming AAALAC inspections, several light lenses will be replaced in 452/462 ABSL3 suite. NO work may occur in 452/462 during this outage.

In order to perform preventative maintenance facilities technicians will be shutting down HVAC systems serving the lower level including the B120 BSL3 suite on the mornings of July 11th and July 12th between the hours of 4 am and 6 am. During this time NO work shall take place in the B120 BSL3 suite.

On Wednesday, July 10th 7-9 am a plumber will be investigating a slow draining sink in BSL3 lab 8201E. While this work is being conducted BSL3 suite 8201 will be unavailable and NO BSL3 work shall occur within the suite.

In preparation for the upcoming AAALAC inspections, miscellaneous repairs, maintenance, floor cleaning, etc. will be completed in the 4th floor biohazard area. On Saturday, July 13th 6 am – 2 pm all domestic hot and cold water will be off.

Starting on Friday, July 12th at 5 pm – Monday, July 15th at 7 am there can be no use of Autoclaves and Washers in the East McDonnell Facility to make repairs to an acid waste line and for construction on the 3rd floor. In this time please do not use the Autoclaves and Washers […]

On Saturday, July 20th from 6 am – 3 pm Air handling units B1 and B2 will be done for routine scheduled maintenance for the East Imaging Center. In this time there will be limited to no heating and cooling to the basement of the facility.

In order to make the duct work tie-in for the 10th floor construction project there will be limited supply airflow and exhaust. Air changes in rooms will be at a minimal. on Saturday, July 13th 6 am – 12 pm FUME HOODS IN THE BUILDING SHOULD NOT BE USED.

Due to the ongoing construction on the 3rd floor, there will be a needed shut down of power on Tuesday, July 9th 4-6 am. Receptacles, some lighting and some equipment (sterilizers cage washers etc…) on floors 1 thru 3 will be affected by this outage
