The exhaust fans serving the general exhaust and fume hoods for all of West Building are currently down and out of service. Facilities technicians are working to repair the fans and return them to normal service as quickly as possible. No work should take place in any fume hoods until this issue is resolved.
An adjustment needs to be made to the electrical system that serves the building exhaust systems. The adjustment may result in a momentary power disruption that affects the building exhaust systems including the vivarium exhaust airflow. No work may take place in the B120 ABSL3 suite during this outage on March 11 4-6am.
As a reminder, please do not place items directly into dumpsters. Dumpsters are managed by several different entities on campus and are emptied on specific schedules. Elevator 103 will be out of service on 2/21/2021 from 8:00am-12:00pm to perform preventive maintenance.
Due to maintenance on the electrical system we will be switching in the locations listed above 2/27/2021 from 7:00am-11:00am. During the outage, West Building & McMillan floors 9-13 will experience two momentary power blips. We do not anticipate any loss in power to IWJ and Maternity.
Due to repairs on the electrical system, Emergency outlets and building mechanical equipment will be interrupted for approximately 30 minutes at the beginning of the outage (2/27/2021 at 6:00pm) and at the end (2/28/2021 at 6:00am).
Service Elevator No. 8 will be out of service from 3/8/2021 – 3/21/2021 to install a new positive pressure system to comply with City Regulations and Building Code.
