Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a Facilities Engineering van was damaged and several items were stolen from within. A review of CCTV footage in the area revealed a red truck without license plates pulled into the lot at 7:35pm. The unknown driver shattered a side window on the van and spent several minutes loading items into the truck bed. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the registration sticker had been removed from their vehicle's license plate while the vehicle was parked on campus.  The employee last recalled seeing the registration sticker in place on 02/08/2022. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the vehicle registration sticker was stolen from her vehicle's license plate. The employee believed the incident occurred while parked in the 4511 Forest Park Ave. surface parking lot. The employee noticed the sticker was missing upon returning home from work. She did not report it until she returned to work the following Monday.  A review of CCTV in the area did not reveal any suspicious activity.  Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack
Synopsis:  A WUSM student parked his bicycle at the Euclid Power Plant bike rack at approximately 2:00pm. The student did not secure the bicycle. An unknown subject arrived on campus riding a bike. The subject left the bike he had been riding at the Euclid bike rack and stole the student's bicycle. Later in the evening, two subjects returned to campus on bicycles. One subject retrieved the bicycle that had been left behind and left campus.  Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the theft of a laptop from a first floor suite in the Wohl Hospital Building. The laptop was left on a cubicle desk on 4/7/2022 and was missing upon the employee returning to work the next morning. The suite was secured and had no signs of forced entry. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Mid Campus Center Loading Dock
Synopsis:  A Protective Services officer observed a male subject walking through campus carrying a dorm-style mini refrigerator. He requested that dispatch check the CCTV cameras in the area to determine if the subject arrived on campus with the refrigerator. Footage was located that showed the subject taking the refrigerator from the Mid Campus Center loading dock just minutes before the officer observed him. Officers stopped the subject who was uncooperative. The subject was identified but refused to answer any questions. He left campus without the refrigerator. Officers recovered the refrigerator and returned it.
Disposition:  Investigation complete.

Synopsis:  A campus bookstore employee reported and unknown subject stole an iPhone charger worth approximately $60 from the bookstore. The subject immediately left campus via the MetroLink. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Mid Campus Center (MCC) Bookstore
Synopsis:  A MCC bookstore employee called Protective Services to report an unknown subject had stolen over $300 of merchandise. The subject had walked to the Metro Bus Depot prior to officers' arrival. Officers were able to locate the subject at the Bus Depot and detained him. He was in possession of the stolen merchandise. The merchandise was recovered and returned. The subject was identified and released with a trespass warning.
Disposition:  Subject Arrested. Investigation Complete

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee contacted Protective Services to report her license plate tags were missing from her vehicle. The last time she recalled seeing them was approximately three weeks prior. After speaking with other employees of the building, three other WUSM community members reported the license plate tags missing from their license plates while parked in the 4488 Forest Park Ave. surface parking lot. The thefts occurred throughout the last three months. Protective Services is investigating.
