Location: Mid Campus Center (MCC)
Synopsis:  A Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH) employee reported the theft of a BJH owned bicycle from an interior hallway on the first floor of the MCC. A review of CCTV footage revealed the bicycle was taken by the subject responsible for an additional bicycle theft earlier that day. That subject had already been taken into custody by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD). SLMPD was notified of the additional theft.
Disposition: Suspect Arrested. Judicial Disposition Unknown.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a GoPro camera was missing from her office. The camera was last used on 11/15/2021. The employee went to use it again on 11/24/2021 and determined it was not where she left it. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a small desk fan was missing from her office. The fan was in an unsecured office and was last seen on Friday, 12/3/2021. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported her cell phone went missing from the 3rd floor of the Couch Building on 1/10/2022. The employee used location services to determine it was no longer on campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM professor reported the theft of ophthalmology lenses from an exam room after a patient's appointment. The patient denied taking the lenses. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Maternity Hospital Building
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the theft of some tools from an office on the 8th floor of the Maternity Hospital Building. The office was being used for storage and as a space to disassemble parts. The last person in the room on 1/12/2022 locked the door and turned out the lights. When the employee returned on 1/18/2022, he discovered the door was unlocked and the lights were on. Several small tools that had been left on a table were missing. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: 825 S. Taylor Ave. Central Institute for the Deaf (CID) parking lot
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the theft of the catalytic converter from his vehicle while parked on the CID back lot. A review of the CCTV cameras in the area revealed an unknown subject drove on the lot and spent several minutes near the employee's vehicle before leaving the area. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Wohl Clinic
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported finding several unusual items discarded in a bathroom. Protective Services officers determined the items were taken from the UPS drop box located in the Wohl Clinic link. One of the items had been left at the UPS drop box at approximately 9:40 am. The item, worth approximately $4,000, was contained in a bubble mailer and left on top of the drop box due to the box being too full for the mailer to fit inside. Both the bubble mailer and the item were recovered and returned to the original owner. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported clothing and scrubs were stolen from a secured locker on the 4th floor of the North Building. The employee last saw the items on 1/30/2022. The locker showed no signs of force. Protective Services is investigating.
