In order for facilities technicians to replace exhaust fan motors serving BSL3 suite 7230 outages are needed on the schedule noted below. During these times NO work shall take place in the BSL3 suite 7230. 11/4 5 am – 7 am11/6 5 am – 7 am11/11 5 am- 7 am11/13 5 am-7 am

On Monday, October 30th from 7 am to Friday, November 3rd at 4 pm in the North Medical building there may be noise and vibration for installing fall protection. During this week there will be heavy drilling on the roof which may be heard through the building.

On Friday, October 13th from 7 am to November 30th at 3:30 pm cold room 118 in the Biotechnology Center building will be taking offline for service. During this time there can be nothing stored in this cold room.

On Tuesday, October 24th 5-7 am facilities technicians will be completing preventative maintenance on the air handling and exhaust system’s serving the 4th and 5th floors of the building. Occupants may experience reduced supply or exhaust airflow. During this time NO work shall be conducted in the 4th floor BSL3 labs.

Starting on Monday, October 30th at 9 pm facilities will be cleaning supply air duct work on the 4th floor. Contractors will start at 9 pm each night and be completed by 7 am each morning during week days until approximately December 8th. On Wednesday, October 18th 3-9 am Facilities will be making repairs to the heating hot water that serves the sixth floor. The entire sixth floor may experience cooler-than-normal temperatures during this time.

On Saturday, October 21st 6 am – 3 pm Facilities will perform necessary repairs to the air handler that serves floors 6, 7, and 8. Floors 6, 7, and 8 may experience slightly warmer than normal temperatures during this time.

In support of the fire alarm upgrade project, OFMD contractors will be installing new fire alarm devices and testing the operation of the air handling units serving the lab areas.
