Please be advised of a scheduled building-wide exhaust outage at the Biotechnology Center starting Saturday, December 14, at 6:00 am and continuing through Sunday, December 15, at 4:00 pm. On Thursday, December 5, from 6-8:30 am, the supply air handling unit (AHU-13) serving the 7th floor BTCF facility will be off intermittently during the outage to accommodate cold weather performance testing of this unit.

On Saturday, December 14th, at 7 am facilities will conduct an electrical outage for the West side UPS gear. We do not anticipate power any power interruption during the outage.

The South Building Elevator #34 will be out of service from Monday, December 16, 6 am to Wednesday, December 20, 4 pm to replace the brake assembly. It will be returned to service when all work is complete.

On Saturday, December 14th, 6 am – 2 pm, Facilities will shut down the exhaust fan serving the north side of the 8th floor of the building to make repairs. This will affect fume hoods on the north side of the 8th floor, which should not be used during this time.

From Tuesday, December 10, 6 am to Thursday, December 12, 3 pm, facilities and contractors will be conducting a change of the Fire Pump and Controller for the building. During this outage, sprinkler protection will be provided throughout the building, and constant communication with local fire authorities will be maintained.

On Friday, December 6th The NRB Garage Elevators will be taken out of service, one at a time, for testing and maintenance between 6 am and 7 am. While one elevator is down, the other two will remain in service. All three elevators will be returned to service by 7 am.

Elevator 103 will be out of service on Sunday, December 22nd, at 8 am for 4 hours to perform preventive maintenance. The elevator will be back in service at noon.

Elevator 102 will be out of service on Sunday, December 8th, at 8 am for 4 hours to perform preventive maintenance. The elevator will be back in service at noon.

On Wednesday, December 4th, from 6:30 to 10 am, plumbers will be making repairs in BSL3 suite 431/441. During this time, no work will take place in the suite.
