Tuesday, October 22, 4 pm – Monday, October 28, 7 am Each evening throughout the duration of this outage, we will close a different communal restroom for floor refinishing. One set of restrooms will be inaccessible each evening from 4 pm until 7 am the following morning.

On Tuesday, November 11, 9-10:30 am, the facility Fire Alarm team and a contractor will be testing the fire alarm system flow switch. There will be audibles and strobe throughout the building. THIS IS ONLY A TEST no need for evacuation.

On Thursday, October 31, from 5-6 am, the facility Fire Alarm teamand the contractor will test the fire alarm system; audibles and strobe lights throughout the building will be heard. “THIS IS ONLY A TEST” no need for evacuation.

On Friday, October 25, from 7 to 10 am, contractors will work on the exhaust fans serving BSL3 suite 8210. During this time, no work will take place in the 8210 BSL3 suite.

On Thursday, October 24, from 11 am – 1 pm, the domestic cold water will be shut off to make repairs. This will affect all cold water in the building (faucets, toilets, and showers).

On Thursday, October 24, 5 pm – Friday, October 25, 1:30 am, contractors will turn off the air handling unit for the first floor to install additional equipment. Temperatures throughout the first floor will not be precisely controlled and may vary from comfort levels.

Facilities Engineering is completing a project to clean and seal all the air handling systems serving North Tower Addition. There will be a steam outage from Friday, October 25th, 5 pm to Saturday, October 26th, 7 pm. This outage is needed to repair the main steam system coming into the building. On Wednesday, October 23rd, from 6-7 am, Facilities Plumbers will troubleshoot and repair to the faucet inside BSL3 lab 452/462. During this time NO work will take place in BSL3 lab 452/462.

On October 31st from 8 pm to 12 am we will be turning off Air Handlers 1 and 2 at different times in the Specialized Research Facility East to perform filter changes. During this time, there will be limited to no heating and cooling or airflow to the building.
