On Tuesday, November 26th, 7-11 am, the building will have limited airflow and temperature control during the duration of this outage. Indoor temperatures may vary from ideal.

Contractors will be doing work in the ceiling directly over the first floor hallway near the outdoor courtyard. The hallway will be partially obstructed with hanging plastic for their work space. Building temperatures for the first floor may vary from ideal.

Elevators 51 and 52 will each be removed from service so the contractor can install a surge suppression device. While one elevator is down, the other will remain operational. All work is expected to be completed by noon.

Facilities will conduct an electrical outage on Sunday, November 17th, 7- 11 am. On Thursday, November 14th, 6:30- 7:30 a.m., facilities and contractors will test the fire alarm system (Audio and Visual). There will be audible alarms and visual strobes throughout the building. THIS IS ONLY A TEST; there is no need for evacuation.

The Facilities team will be performing annual preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems serving the MCD-562 BSL3 lab on Wednesday, November 11th 4-8 am. NO work shall take place in the BSL3 lab while the work is being completed.
