Synopsis: A Protective Services officer observed a suspect in several recent bike thefts acting suspiciously near the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack. The officer located the subject on the MetroLink platform in possession of a bike they had removed from the rack. The officer took the subject into custody and summoned the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) to campus.  SLMPD positively identified the suspect, who had provided a false name on several recent encounters.  SLMPD took the suspect into custody and he was issued a written warning against future trespass.

Synopsis: A Protective Services officer observed a subject acting suspiciously on S. Euclid Ave. near the McMillan Hospital Building. While monitoring the subject, the officer observed her remove suspected narcotics from her purse. The officer made contact with the subject who surrendered the narcotics. A preliminary test showed the substance to be methamphetamine. The subject agreed to let the officer search her purse. The officer found an additional quantity of suspected methamphetamine. The narcotics were confiscated and the subject was issued a written warning against future trespass.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported the theft of his bicycle from the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack. He parked the bicycle and secured it with a cable lock at 7:00am. Upon his return at 3:30pm, the bicycle was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed the same subject responsible for two bike thefts on 6/15/2024 under Incident Nos. 2406-00238 and 2406-00240 returned to campus and stole the bicycle. A BOLO was issued for the subject. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported his bicycle was missing from the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack. This was in relation to Incident No. 2406-00238 where BJH Public Safety officers observed a subject who appeared to be tampering with bicycles at the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack. The subject attempted to evade officers but was eventually taken into custody. While in custody, a quantity of narcotics was found on his person. A review of CCTV footage showed the subject had stolen two bicycles from the bike rack over the period of several hours. One bicycle was recovered, however it was not the employee’s bicycle. The owner of the recovered bicycle has not come forward to claim it. The SLMPD responded to campus and arrested the subject.

Synopsis: Protective Services officers responded to the FLTC for a subject who was using the intercom to cause a disturbance within Protective Services dispatch. Officers located the subject and identified him as the same person who stole an expensive piece of equipment from the Clayton Garage in February 2024. Protective Services officers took the subject into custody. The SLMPD responded to campus and arrested the subject for an active warrant and trespassing.
