Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student reported that his vehicle had been ransacked and a multitool was stolen from within. He parked his vehicle at the Euclid Meters at approximately 6:00am. He left his passenger side door unlocked. When he returned at about 5:24pm, he saw that his glovebox had been opened, and the center console had been ransacked. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject arrived on campus via the MetroLink and walked to the Euclid Meters. He entered the passenger side of the student’s vehicle and left campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the intersection of Parkview Pl. and S. Kingshighway Blvd. for a report of a suspicious person who was running in and out of traffic and climbing the light poles. Officers made contact with and identified the subject. He refused to obey officer commands and continued to run into traffic. Officers, including BJH Public Safety officers, attempted to detain the subject for his safety. While doing so, the subject kicked a Protective Services officer in the hip with his leg encased in a hard cast. The subject then kicked a BJH Public Safety officer in the head with the same leg in a hard cast. The BJH Public Safety officer was uninjured due to wearing a bike helmet at the time. The Protective Services officer sustained an injury to the hip, causing pain and a visible limp. While detained, the subject continued to try to assault officers and run into traffic. EMS was requested but failed to respond. The subject was placed in a wheelchair and escorted to the Barnes-Jewish Emergency Department (BJED). The SLMPD responded and charged the subject with assault. The subject remained at the BJED for treatment.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the BJCIH for a report of fraud. A WUSM faculty member reported that his personal credit card had been used to purchase DoorDash orders for approximately five months without his knowledge. He used to buy lunch for his staff once a week. He stopped doing so in November 2025. However, since that time, his credit card was used to purchase over $800 worth of DoorDash orders without his approval.  Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student reported his vehicle was broken into while parked on the 818 Lot. A backpack was stolen from the backseat. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject occupying a silver minivan broke into the vehicle on 5/15/26 at about 2:15am. The minivan proceeded to other areas of campus and appeared to attempt to tamper with other vehicles. No other thefts or damage have been reported. Protective Services is investigating.

CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject arrive to the area on a bicycle which he left at the bike rack. He then stole another bike from the rack and walked it to the MetroLink station. Protective Services is investigating.
