Location: Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC)
Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the outside of EPNEC for a report of a subject who assaulted a Washington University student. The subject was determined to be the same subject who was nude and trespassing in the Northwest Tower under Incident No. 2303-00135. During this incident, the subject entered the first floor of EPNEC and appeared to be lost. A WUSM employee asked the subject if he needed assistance. He grabbed the employee’s breast until she yelled at him to stop. He approached another WUSM employee and engaged in the same behavior. He then left out of the front doors. A student was walking past EPNEC and the subject blocked her path, picked her up, and tried to walk away with her. The student screamed for help. Several people in the area intervened, causing the subject to release the student. The bystanders contained the subject until Protective Services arrived and took him into custody. The SLMPD was called to campus and an officer transported the subject to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Emergency Department.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the 8th floor of the Northwest Tower for a report of suspicious person. Officers located and identified a man near the elevator lobby. The subject had taken off all of his clothing and was fully nude. The subject appeared to be in an altered state, possibly having a mental health event. He had a hospital ID bracelet and it was later determined he was recently released from the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Emergency Department (ED). The subject originally refused to redress, however officers eventually convinced him to put his clothes on. He willingly allowed EMS to transport him back to the ED.
Disposition: Subject Identified. Investigation Complete.

Synopsis:  Several contractors in the area reported witnessing two subjects load a motorcycle into a white van in the Clayton Garage. The white van then broke through the west exit gate and left campus southbound on Taylor Ave. A review of CCTV footage in the area showed the van was accompanied by an unknown male riding a silver sportbike style motorcycle. The SLMPD took a report for the stolen motorcycle. Protective Services is assisting the SLMPD with their investigation.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported that she secured her laptop in her desk in her office on the 5th floor of the 4444 Forest Park Ave. Building at the end of her work day on 3/28/2023. Upon returning to her office on 3/30/2023, the laptop was sitting open on top of her desk. No other items were disturbed or missing. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: MetroLink Elevator Platform
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee made a delayed report of harassment. The employee was waiting for a MetroLink train near the elevated elevator platform when a male subject approached her. The subject yelled and cursed at her, unprovoked. He then balled his fist and made a move as if to strike her. The employee left the area and walked down the stairs to the MetroLink platform. The employee was not physically harmed.  A review of CCTV footage in the area showed the incident occurred as the employee described. The subject was tentatively identified as a know trespasser. Protective Services is investigating.
