On Saturday, September 28th 6 am – 4 pm Facilities will shut off the steam to the entire building. Contractors will be replacing a steam vent on the eighth floor. Temperatures throughout the building may be cooler than normal during this time.

On Tuesday, September 17th, 9 am – 12 pm, there will be a test of the Fire Alarm System. Audibles will be heard and strobes will be visible throughout the buildings during the test. The purpose of this test is for the City of St. Louis inspector. THIS IS ONLY A TEST

On Monday, September 16th 5-6 pm facilities will be conducting a test of the fire alarm system’s audio and visual throughout the building. THIS IS ONLY A TEST

On Friday, September 13th 6-8 am elevators #51 & #52 will be taken out of service so that contractors can complete some work in the elevator shaft for the modernization project. In order to make adjustments to the HVAC Facilities Operation BSL3 lab suite MCM 1103 will be out of service during the above-noted time. During this time NO work shall take place within the suite.

On Monday, September 30th 4 – 10 pm Facilities will be conducting tests on the fire alarm system of the HVAC. There will be a controlled shut down of the air handlers, also the stair pressurization fan will run. THERE WILL BE NO AUDIBLES OR STROBES during this test.

On September 20th from 12 am to 7 am there will be no domestic hot and cold water to the Biotechnology Center. A deficiency was identified with the emergency back up generator for the electrical power systems in the building. On Sunday, September 22nd 6-10 am Facilities will be switching power at Jeffery T. Ford to a single utility source for internal testing of the electrical gear. A blip may occur, but no power loss is expected.

On Friday, September 20th 7 am – 3 pm the sprinkler system in the penthouse of CSRB-North Tower Addition will be drained due to contractors moving sprinkler lines for the project. The system will be monitored during this outage. The rest of the fire alarm system will be fully operational.
