Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported his vehicle was damaged while parked in the Euclid Meters. A window was broken out and the vehicle had been searched. Nothing was stolen. BJH Public Safety reported damage to other vehicles on the lot and observed the suspect vehicle. A relevant BOLO was disseminated to campus security. Protective Services and BJH Public Safety are investigating.

Location: 825 S. Taylor Ave., Central Institute for the Deaf (CID) surface lot
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a broken window of a vehicle parked on the CID lot. The employee was not the owner of the vehicle. Protective Services reviewed CCTV footage and determined an unidentified subject approached the vehicle on foot and broke the window. The subject immediately left the area on foot, southbound on Taylor Ave. Officers monitored the vehicle until the owner arrived on scene. The owner of the vehicle was provided with the contact information to make a report with the SLMPD. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: 4444 Forest Park Ave. West Surface Lot
Synopsis:  A contract employee observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two subjects on the 4444 Forest Park Ave West Surface Lot.  Protective Services officers attempted to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle.  Upon noticing officers, the subjects evaded officers and departed campus headed northbound.  The vehicle the subjects occupied had a bag concealing the make emblem and license plate.  Officers discovered a window had been broken in a contractor's vehicle.  The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to collect evidence from the scene.

Synopsis:  A contract employee leaving the @4240 Building for the night reported finding someone in her vehicle, a KIA Soul. The subject fled the area on foot. The employee immediately call Protective Services. Officers responded to the area but could not locate the subject. The employee believed she may have forgotten to lock the vehicle. The steering wheel column was damaged as though the subject was trying to start it.  Protective Services and the SLMPD are investigating.

Location: 718 S. Euclid Surface Lot
Synopsis:  Two vehicles parked on the 718 Surface Lot had a rear window broken out and items inside both vehicles appeared to have been rummaged through.  A review of CCTV footage in the area showed a vehicle occupied by several subjects arrived to the lot.  The occupants of said vehicle unloaded items from the rear of their vehicle and entered both victim vehicles.  They departed approximately five minutes later, leaving behind a pile of items that did not belong to either victim.  One victim reported a pair of sunglasses missing from their vehicle. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded in addition to Protective Services.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported on 07/03/2022 they returned to their vehicle in the Clayton Garage and found a long scrape on their vehicle's passenger side.  Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Euclid Meters Parking Lot
Synopsis:  A Protective Services officer noticed a vehicle with a shattered window while on patrol of the Euclid Meters Parking Lot.  The belonged to a School of Medicine employee.  Officers found three additional vehicles on the lot that had been tampered with.  A review of CCTV footage revealed suspects had entered the victim vehicles earlier in the night.  The employee contacted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD).  Protective Services and the SLMPD are investigating

Location: 4488 Forest Park Ave. Surface Parking Lot
Synopsis:  While on normal patrol, a Protective Services officer noticed two vehicles parked on the 4488 Forest Park Ave. lot with broken windows. A subsequent investigation revealed a white SUV with no plates drove onto the lot and left shortly after. The vehicle description was consistent with a vehicle that was also involved in a tampering event documented under Incident No. 2301-00007 as well as tampering events on BJH property. Protective Services and BJH Public Safety are both investigating.

Location: Neuroscience Research Building (NRB) Construction Site
Synopsis:  A contractor contacted Protective Services to report he heard glass breaking on the lot of the NRB construction site. He looked outside and saw 4 unknown subjects with a white SUV. They broke the windows out of two vehicles owned by the contractors. The vehicle description was consistent with a vehicle that was also involved in a tampering event documented under Incident No. 2301-00006, as well as tampering events on BJH property. Protective Services and BJH Public Safety are both investigating.

The employee reported nothing was missing from her vehicle. Protective Services is investigating.
