Synopsis: Protective Services officers noticed a broken window on the exterior of the ACB on 6/14/2024. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject threw an object at the window several days earlier. However, while the window shattered, it remained within the window pane for several days until a passing storm precipitated its fall. A BOLO was created and disseminated amongst campus security in an effort to identify the responsible party. Protective Services is investigating.

Harassment

Location: MetroLink Platform
Synopsis: A WUSM student reported that he was harassed and threatened by an unidentified subject while he was on the MetroLink train and Central West End platform. The subject left the area prior to Protective Services arriving to the area. CCTV showed the subject walked north on S. Taylor Ave. and attempted to engage with other passersby. His behavior indicated a possible mental health issue. A BOLO was circulated to campus security. Later, the subject was positively identified by BJH Public Safety as someone they found trespassing on their property later in the evening on 6/13/2024.  An updated BOLO has been disseminated in an attempt to locate the subject. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported the theft of her license plate tabs while her vehicle was parked on the surface parking lot of the 4511 Forest Park Ave. Building. The employee parked her vehicle around 6:00am and when she returned after 5:00pm, she noticed the tabs were missing. Another employee reported the tabs on her license plate were missing as well. Protective Services officers canvassed the parking lot and located a third vehicle missing the license plate tabs. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject entered the parking lot on foot at about 9:17am. He approached the three vehicles and appeared to take the tabs from the license plates. He left campus on foot. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the WUIT Tech Bar located in the CSRB Link for a report of a suspicious person. An employee found a subject sleeping under the Tech Bar desk. He confronted the subject who got up, grabbed a University-owned iPad and started to walk away. The employee told the subject she could not take the iPad. She returned it and left the area. Protective Services officers located the subject near the Mid Campus Center on Nash Way. She was identified as a person who was warned against future trespass multiple times. She was escorted from campus and warned against future trespass again.
