Synopsis:  Protective Services attempted to de-escalate an interaction between Metro Public Safety officers and an irate unaffiliated subject in the Metro Bus Depot.  The subject would not leave the area and approached officers aggressively.  Officers handcuffed the subject and prepared a written trespass warning.  The subject shoulder bumped a Protective Services officer.  The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department took custody of the subject and removed him from campus.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee parked her bicycle at the south rack of the 4444 Forest Park Ave. Building and secured it with a cable lock at about 1:00pm. When she returned at 5:30pm, the bicycle was gone.  A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject cut the cable lock and stole the bicycle at about 3:25pm. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  Protective Services responded to the first floor of the CRB for a report of a suspicious person sleeping in a restroom stall. Officers located the subject and determined he had an active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and the SLMPD responded to campus to take custody. A later review of CCTV footage showed the suspect entered through the Bernard Becker Medical Library entrance after a community member used his badge to enter.

Trespassing/Harassment

Location: Jeffrey T. Fort Neuroscience Research Building (Fort Labs)
Synopsis:  Protective Services responded to the Fort Labs for a report of a suspicious person trespassing in the lobby. Officers located a subject who refused to identify himself. He displayed behavior that led officers to believe he may have been mentally ill. The subject immediately left the building after being confronted by Protective Services. Later, an employee called Protective Services to report the same male had harassed her while she sat in the lobby. The man made inappropriate comments to her until she left the area. Information about the subject was disseminated to all campus security so that he can be identified and warned against future trespass if he returns.
